We are also home to War Horse Creek, an immersive transition training program using rescued wild mustangs to assist veterans as they adjust to civilian life. War Horse Creek launched in 2022 and spots are now available for veterans. WAGS Pet Adoption shelters and cares for companion animals, investigates and combats animal cruelty, rescues neglected pets, treats sick and injured strays, and educates the community about humane issues and responsible pet care. As a non-profit animal shelter, we transfer in dogs and cats from public shelters where they are in danger of being euthanized due to space or financial limitations. We then provide them with the best possible care and enrichment until we can help them find their forever homes. For example, start a Facebook group for all the people who have adopted animals from your rescue.
I assume the risks of being bitten, scratched, injured, made ill, or frightened by dogs, puppies, cats, and/or kittens in connection with my volunteer work for SPOT. I also understand that I may at any time be removed from my position as a foster and/or volunteer by action of the board of directors, and that I will be notified in writing or email should that occur. Any dispute arising website between the parties with respect to this Waiver and Agreement shall be submitted to binding arbitration under the commercial rules of the American Arbitration Association then in effect. The venue for such arbitration shall be the County of San Diego, California. The parties agree to submit to jurisdiction and venue in San Diego, California for purposes of such arbitration.
Bubbles Dog Rescue is a tax-deductible 501c3 organization. Kitten Rescue was founded in the spring of 1997 and has grown to be one of the largest and most respected animal welfare groups in Los Angeles. We are a non-profit, volunteer-run organization devoted to finding loving new homes for unwanted, homeless cats and kittens. Kitten Rescue volunteers place over 1,000 cats and kittens into homes every year. Since we began, we have rescued and placed over 31,000 cats (and counting!) into loving homes.
Please bring a valid photo ID and verification that you are allowed to have a pet where you currently live. Thank you for your interest in becoming a Foster Parent! Foster parents provide temporary care for our animals in their own homes until they are ready for adoption and to be placed in their permanent home. Some animals need as little as two weeks of care, while others may need care for several months.
Using Rehome by Adopt-a-Pet.com not only helps you to find a great new home for your dog, it also helps animal shelters and rescues in California to raise funds to save more pets. Rehome is free to you, and your dog’s new adopter will pay a small adoption fee which will then be donated in full to a local animal shelter or rescue, like the ones below. We are looking for committed volunteers with a love for animals to help us improve animal care and provide programs that are vital to a healthy community. Home to Home Home To Home gives people who can no longer keep their pets the opportunity to find new, loving homes without having to drop pets off at the shelter. Other animal's adoption fees, including Birds, Livestock and Reptiles vary by the type of animal adopted. The Corona Animal Shelter is dedicated to the care of animals and people in our community.
Coming out of Covid the Mendocino County Animal Shelter's have been bombarded with animal owners that no longer want their pets. We work with outside shelters and rescue groups so these animals are given every chance possible at finding their furever homes. Our goal is to prevent the needless euthanasia of happy, healthy and adoptable animals.

Wags and Whiskers Pet Rescue is a 501 non-profit all-breed, NO KILL, animal rescue organization, incorporated in August 2015. We are a volunteer-driven group with a number of years of experience with animals and rescue. Our mission is to rescue, foster, rehabilitate and rehome, abandoned, abused, and unwanted animals.
Veterans interested in adopting a dog or cat from California public animal shelters are now eligible for waived adoption fees through the Pets for Vets Act – a win for both veterans seeking companion animals and shelter pets in need of a home. We are located in the mountain village of Idyllwild, CA where we have been serving the community since 1994. A volunteer, grassroots, non-profit organization, ARF’s mission is to rescue animals that have been abandoned, lost, or whose owners are no longer able to care for them. We provide foster care until forever homes are located.
Finding the right forever homes comes down to gauging potential owners and their fit with the animals. “They may seem cumbersome when you just want to focus on finding your animals a good home, but these legal devices are important. I need to know that the dog I release to an adopter will really take care of it, regardless of their own life situation.
Fosters are expected to care for one or more animals for anywhere between a week and a few months depending on the needs of the pet. Our fosters need to be able to bring in pets to our clinic during the week to receive routine vaccinations, preventatives, and exams as needed. No animal deserves to spend its last days in a shelter.
When news of the evacuation order for the Oak Glen area... All potentially dangerous dogs shall be properly licensed and vaccinated. The city or county may charge a potentially dangerous dog fee in addition to the regular licensing fee to provide for the increased costs of maintaining the records of the dog. When a dog has been impounded pursuant to subdivision and it is not contrary to public safety, the chief animal control officer shall permit the animal to be confined at the owner's expense in a department approved kennel or veterinary facility. If two or more dogs kept by two or more owners or keepers injure or kill any livestock or poultry at the same time, the owners or keepers of the dogs are jointly and severally liable for the damage. Upon the death or retirement of an assistance dog, the owner or person in possession of the assistance dog identification tag shall immediately return the tag to the animal control department that issued the tag.
It’s a big scary world and our Wallflower Group meets every Wednesday evening to socialize the little guys and give them that boost of confidence they need to find a home. This is a free site that asks you to upload your pet’s photo and information. The site will utilize facial recognition software to match with any animals that have been found in the community. We have been contracted by the city of Westminster to be responsible for the stray and unhealthy animals found in Westminster and Stanton California.
