WAC users have access to a wide range of professionally equipped studios. There are three large adaptable studios used for painting and drawing, as well as ceramics, printmaking, jewellery & sculpture studios, with space also for children’s art. The WAC is supported by a group of over 30 independent teaching artists offering first-rate tuition across 60 classes each week. Please note that while this is a beginners' class it is advisable that you have some previous drawing or art... Studio Make offers a big range of drop-in classes for youths and adults. The Pottery Shed's classes are founded on the principle art classes for kids that everyone can learn to skillfully manage and use clay by understanding its purest properties. The basic course at The Pottery Shed for beginners is comprised of three 2-hour classes covering throwing, trimming and glazing.

Art courses are some of the more unique experiences Sydney locals and tourists can both enjoy. Students are also invited to expand and develop through the more project driven classes that are more personal and experimental in nature. Untutored life drawing session are also held on Saturday mornings giving students opportunities for regular practice to develop and refine their drawing skills. Join award winning artist Nicole Kelly in a two day painting workshop exploring Contemporary Interior Spaces in oils or acrylics. The workshop begins with Nicole setting an interior for you to paint and draw from life. On the second day you will be encouraged to choose a selection of your own compositions either working from drawings, earlier paintings or personal photographs.
An artist run initiative with an Art Gallery, Studios and Education Atelier. Studio based workshops in millinery, fascinator and flower making. Please note that the group is currently full, but you can be placed on a waiting list.

At WEA Sydney our art classes are available from beginner to advanced levels where you can learn a variety of different artistic skills. Our art courses run daytime, evenings and weekends, and we offer everything from drawing and painting to photography and practical art. Even a childhood passion for art can fall to the wayside in adulthood.
Classes include Oil Painting, Acrylics, Painting for Beginners, Drawing and Painting, Watercolours, Chinese Brush Painting, Hand Lettering, Botanical Art and Abstract Art. The National Art School’s vibrant program of Short Courses run from January to December every year and cater to students of all levels of experience in the visual arts. With classes that cover a diverse range of interests and designed for all stages of life, you can learn new skills, gain new insights or discover your untapped creativity. All classes run for a ten week term and children of all ages from Pre-school to year 12 are catered for. Enrol now and unleash your creative talent and develop a skill for life. Small Classes conducted by experienced professional artists and teachers. This workshop will be about discovering gesture and colour in the landscape through a mix of quick compositional drawings, monoprint works and mixed media colour studies.
Learn clay sculpture techniques and mouldmaking processes to create your own masterpiece in clay! In this sculpture and mouldmaking course, you will work on your own project at your own pace. You’ll take home clay techniques in hand building, slab building and clay sculpting.

The classes are taught by arts professionals and an experienced support worker attends every workshop. Art Fusion offers one-on-one art lessons with artist Glenn Farquhar where you can create large abstract artworks with sizes up to 200cm long. These art lessons are also available to download online or in DVD format.
This course provides an introduction to a range of drawing skills  and materials required to produce representational drawings. Fun and challenging exercises will encourage students to develop their skills and personal style in a supportive learning environment. Learn to paint with renowned Tahiti-based artist Tania Wursig at her studio in Rozelle.
Students are then encouraged to develop their skills through returning sessions until they understand the process. They can also add advanced skills during weekly Master Classes in large vessel throwing, hand-building, pottery decorations and mould-making with slip-casting. An informal social drawing group for artists of all levels of experience. Comprises 3 hours of life drawing, beginning with quick one-minute poses and ending with two 20-minute poses. Great models, great music and great atmosphere, all accompanied by a nice glass of merlot .
