He soon learned that most of the residents believed that one of the roads out of town was haunted, but he didn’t believe in ghosts, so he never asked why. Fittingly, it’s featured heavily in the trailer for the movie, although it’s clearly been updated. Originally, Harold the scarecrow is created so two men who are dissatisfied with their lives have something to take it out on.
No this is not about finger-banging on your period, which is only scary if you’ve never done it before. It is instead very predictably about a ghost that will not shut up about its bloody fingers. As one of the joke stories, its ending is abysmal and involves a guitar guy telling the ghost to chill and grab a Band-Aid.

A blogger travels through the western United States. She documents her trip to share it with the world. In late January of 2013, she checks into the infamous Cecil Hotel in Los Angeles. Stone’s Public House was built in the early 1800s. It is believed to be haunted by spirits that have been tied to the house since its construction. The manager knew exactly who the boy was talking about.
By  the 1980s, conditions had become deplorable and according to Theresa Argie, author and paranormal investigator known as “The Haunted Housewife,” it was a horrible place. “It had this incredible vein of violence that ran through it almost from the beginning," she told TODAY. One night it was raining hard and the headlights of their car flashed across a bearded man on the side of the road hitchhiking. Not usually one for picking up hitchhikers, the husband stopped and pulled over to offer the guy a lift because the weather was so bad. The man thanked the husband and climbed in the back of the car. He seemed agitated and edgy, barely speaking a word for the whole journey. Eventually the couple dropped him off where he asked, at a crossroads.
Unfortunately, the inn is also the site for other untimely deaths including that of Mary, a young girl whose mother worked at Stone’s. The next day, he posted the photo on Instagram, half-joking that he’d captured a ghost and the world took notice. One distinctive thing that I remember about the house was that it was always dark ... Even on the brightest day, it was always really dark. During the day, you still had to have the lights on, even with the curtains open. Marcoislove, their best friend Bella, and her little sister and  brother went to Bella’s grandparents’ house to spend the night when they were younger.

She leaned in, and as she did, a cold, icy hand reached out from the back of the dark cupboard and grabbed her wrist. She let out a scream and tried to escape, but the hand started to pull her into the cupboard. Darkness fell, and the family built a fire to keep warm.

To earn some scratch, I took a part-time gig doing some light bookkeeping for a small business owner guy that my dad knew.

I went to the kitchen to check on Dexter, but he wasn’t in his cage. The bed was empty, but I could tell she was still there. I had never believed in demons or evil spirits, but this was a feeling of absolute hatred that I can only describe as pure evil. When it was my turn to pick, and I saw that room available, I thought  I had really lucked out. It was the smallest room in the building, but I still grabbed it without hesitating.
