There’s a reason this place is seen all over Youtube/Netflix shows and made it to this list of the best restaurants in Merida. The tacos are SO delicious, they have been featured on Netflix special, Taco Chronicles.
Their brunch options are decent ranging from $125-$190 pesos ($6-$10 USD) so it can be a little pricey. The wooden design and minimalist decor make Manifesto cafe a calming and relaxing place to sip a cup of coffee for a couple of hours. They have a small food selection with things like avocado toast to keep your tummy satisfied. The main floor area is usually booked and if you’re lucky they might be able to squeeze you in but it’s easy enough to call and book. As Merida isn’t a big city, car rental options can be limited — so do book in advance. Renting a car in Merida is only necessary if you want to do a few day trips from Merida, or plan to do a Yucatan road trip. If not, you can easily get around by walking, using Uber, taxis or the Va y Ven Merida buses. If you have more time, take one of these Merida tours, or hop in your rental car and head to one of the nearby towns like Tulum, Valladolid and Campeche. After visiting the ruins, you can go for a swim in Xlacah Cenote, the closest cenote to Merida, which is located right at the Dzibilchaltun site.
