Unlike heavier dishes—such as ramen—it manages to warm the insides without causing you to loosen a few notches on your belt-buckle! While oden from the yatai stalls is delicious, if you want somewhere that's a little more refined the Niino in the city's Akasaka area is worth a shout.

This hotel is our top choice for where to stay in Nakasu thanks to its great location and city views. Set at the centre of the city, this four-star hotel provides easy access to the city’s top tourist attractions and landmarks. It has spacious rooms, comfortable beds and a variety of amenities. It's a particular treat to visit at night, when these walkways and the park's many pagodas and pavilions are lit up.

Fukuoka may not be as large as Tokyo and Osaka, or dazzling with as many lights, but I've had many more memorable times in Fukuoka's downtown area, Tenjin. Tenjin is located in the Central Ward of Fukuoka City. It's known as the fashion capital of Kyushu and often named a gourmet or retail city. I found it to be more for shopping and experiencing a Japanese city rather than for sightseeing, but still worth the time of any tourist.
That until this year, when I decided to finally stop and see what the city has to offer. Sushi here is excellent‼️ I have been here twice for lunch, in 2015 and yesterday, and I'll come again in the future. Every piece of sushi is a piece of art and it's so delicious. It may be a bit challenging for foreigners coz you need to book well in advance and most Japanese doesn't speak much English.
