Also at Guanyin Mountain, is there a walking path down towards Bali? If time permits I'm thinking of walking down to Bali West Bank and maybe visit the Shihsanhang Archeology Museum there before taking a boat/ferry to Tamsui. I drove around Taiwan back in 2018 and was pain free, just be mindful of scooters in your blind spot and as you turn into a street as you know there are alot of them. Drive as you would here, take your time and get use to the indicators/controls etc before driving off. Hi all, does anyone have any tips on how to get used to driving in Taiwan? I know the cars are left hand drive and they drive on the right hand side of the road, as opposed to here.
I did not explore much of the township on my visit as I actually ran a lap of the lake, in the rain mostly, and was quite exhausted when I got back to the bus stop, but it looked nice enough. Mountains and epic scenery are all over the place and near public transport too. It pretty much depends on the weather when you're there. Also, the flowers are just beginning to bloom so people are best off waiting till later if they want to check out the sakuras. Went through a few days ago, they've got boxes of tests stacked near the doorway towards the immigration hall to self take .
I still recall how our car spent an hour crawling towards Longteng bridge when it was right before our eyes, like just a few hundred metres away. I could reach there so much quicker by walking but couldn’t abandon our car along the single-lane rural road without further worsening the jam. Hotel where all 5 star and a couple had hot springs in our room. You get to see beautiful coastlines, mountains and Taroko Gorge. Don't hesitate to take tour as it is a great way to see the best of the island for a great price. Our driver, Eason was experience and smooth, making you feel safe on the twisty roads.
